Winter Weather

I started a blog because I missed writing.  I used to do one on myspace (before everyone left it behind for facebook) and I really enjoyed doing it...but that blog was filled with drama, old boyfriends, and my unstable life.  This time is different.  I've really grown a lot in the past few years.  I met the love of my life (just waiting on that ring), went back to school and found something that I enjoy doing, and have surrounded myself with people that truly love and care about me.  While a blog is still the "dear diary" of the 21st century, I think it's a great way to keep up with myself and others (and vice versa)...Its a way to go back and see what I've been through, relive moments, and to communicate my thoughts (a lot of times just saying it will help you realize a lot about yourself).   I'm sure every once and a while drama may get the best of me and I may use this as an outlet, but for the most part I plan to talk about whats going on in my life in general.  Most people that blog have a specific thing to keep track of, getting married...having a baby...their business...but right now I don't have any of that, so for now it's just about my regular, every day to day life.

That being said, I'm officially tired of being "snowed/iced in".  I know people see how much we southerners freak out anytime there's even a possibility of snow, but we can't help it!  We don't know how to handle this foreign substance that covers the ground.  I will admit that shutting down the schools for and entire WEEK is a bit ridiculous, but better safe than sorry...I suppose I could have gone into work today, but I would've had to go in late...and leave early to avoid the ice because the roads are still bad in Prosperity....and after my near wreck run-in with ice last year, I'm terrified to drive if there's even a chance of ice being on the road...so I've spent day 4 stuck inside the house.  I've been such a bum...haven't left the house or put on anything other than sweats the whole time, at least I cleaned house today!...that was somewhat productive, and I made my two stamps I've been wanting to do. But other than that I've been laying around the house watching tv, even though there's never ANYTHING on.  I would say that's because I just have regular tv so I only get about 10 channels compared to everyone elses 600, but even when I did have those 600 channels, nothing ever seemed to be on then either.  Tomorrow I'll go back to work b/c A) I desperately need the money. B) I'm sick of being cooped up in this house. and C) We no longer have any food in the house....I mean nothing.   I just wish Forest could have had the whole time off to so we could've spent some time together before I start school again...I'll get into that later.  For now I'm just watching The Office waiting for Forest to get home from school (hopefully with a sub) and for Modern Family to come on.  Hope the roads will be good in the country tomorrow.

down at the fields, we got there before everyone else did so it was still pretty.  20 minutes later there were 4wheelers, people in trucks dragging people in tubes and truckbeds, and some guys attempting to slide down the skate ramps with socks on...
